IOWA, USA ā This weekend marks the finale of college football's regular season with teams facing off in conference championship games.
While both Iowa and Iowa State both done with the season following bowl game losses, it's worth keeping an eye on the players transferring out of and into the programs.
Here are the players who have announced or have been reported to be transferring. Sources include the players themselves, 247Sports and On3.
Iowa
- OL, 6'7", 360 lbs
Following a successful freshman year at Alabama and the retirement of Nick Saban, Kadyn Proctor of Southeast Polk is returning home to play for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
"The return," he announced on social media.
- QB, 6'5", 231 lbs
Currently the lone entry in the transfer portal for the Hawkeyes, Petras spent this past season on the sidelines after undergoing shoulder surgery at the end of last year.
Petras started 11 games in the 2021 season and 12 games in the 2022 season.
UPDATE: Petras on Sunday announced he is transferring to Utah State.
- QB, 6'4", 213 lbs
Labas announced on Friday, Jan. 5 that he has committed to Central Michigan.
- DT, 6'3", 293 lbs
Thompson announced on Saturday, Jan. 6 his commitment to Western Michigan.
- WR, 6'0", 198 lbs
Vines entered the transfer portal on Monday, Dec. 4, 247Sports reports. He was a starting wide receiver for the Hawkeyes entering the season but was slowed by injuries and finished the year with 12 receptions for 134 yards and a touchdown.
Vines spent four seasons with Iowa.
- DB, 6'0", 195 lbs
Deasfernandes has since committed to Central Michigan.
- EDGE, 6'3", 225 lbs
Filer entered the portal on Tuesday, Dec. 5, according to 247Sports.
Liam Reardon
- LS, 6'1", 223 lbs
Reardon entered the transfer portal on Thursday, Jan. 4, according to On3.
Iowa State
- OL, 6'5", 322 lbs
Barrett has transferred from Wisconsin to Iowa State.
- WR, 6'4", 195 lbs
Alston, who transferred from Army, announced on Jan. 17 that he has committed to Iowa State.
- EDGE, 6'1", 257 lbs
Snyder, formerly at Louisiana, announced his commitment to Iowa State on Dec. 19.
- RB, 5'11", 225 lbs
Norton's transfer announcement on X, formerly known as Twitter:
"First off I would like to thank Iowa State University and Coach Campbell for giving me an opportunity to chase my dreams. With that being said I will be entering the transfer portal on Dec.4th with 2 years of eligibility left. My Plan < God Plan"
Norton announced his commitment to Charlotte on Sunday, Dec. 17.
- OL, 6'9", 315 lbs
Travis is transferring to Iowa State from Princeton after four years with the Tigers.
- RB, 6'0", 205 lbs
"Thank you Coach Campbell and the entire Iowa state staff for giving me an opportunity to play for this program! With that being said, I am entering my name in the transfer portal with 2 years of eligibility left."
Sanders has since committed to New Mexico.
Greg Gaines III
- WR, 6'2", 205 lbs
Gaines III has transferred to Rhode Island.
Dominic Sisneros
- LS, 6'2", 190 lbs
Sisneros entered the transfer portal on Tuesday, Jan. 16, On3 reports.
- TE, 6'6", 238 lbs
"After a really long year and talking with my family I have decided to enter the Transfer Portal as a grad transfer with one year of eligibility remaining."
Hanika says he has since received offers from South Florida, Houston, Toledo and Western Michigan, among other schools.
Hanika announced on Monday, Dec. 11 he is transferring to Kansas.

Thompson has transferred to Louisiana Tech, per 247Sports.
- DB, 6'2", 205 lbs
McGee announced on Tuesday, Dec. 12 that he has committed to Charlotte.
- DE, 6'3", 260 lbs
Adam entered the transfer portal on Thursday, Nov. 30, according to 247Sports. He has since committed to Eastern Michigan.
- LB, 6'2", 225 lbs
Marshall has transferred to Youngstown State.
- WR, 5'7", 170 lbs
Adams entered the transfer portal on Monday, Dec. 4, per 247Sports. He has since committed to South Dakota.
- LB, 6'2", 225 lbs
Jean-Louis has committed to North Texas.

Crosby entered the transfer portal on Monday, Dec. 24, according to On3. He has since committed to Toledo.

Sutton has transferred to Wayne State.
