"Don't let the greys fool you!" Energetic Jack is looking for his forever lap at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa

The Animal Rescue League of Iowa has a new location, with 30+ adoptable dogs currently waiting their forever homes at the Canine Country Club in West Des Moines!

Rotund chihuahua Jack is 10 years young, with the heart of a puppy and the wisdom of an elder. Jack pranced into the studio camera-ready, exploring the set to make sure we captured his optimum angle. But, let's be honest, it's impossible to get a bad shot of this silver fox!

In addition to good looks, Jack has a sparkling personality. He warmly greeted crew members with a wagging tail and insisted on endless pets.

"He knows what he likes," shares Molly Olson, Volunteer Coordinator at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, "and that's sitting in laps and sniffing around outside!"

Jack will make the perfect companion dog. He's ready to spend his days by your side, whether that means daily walks in the park or watching legal dramas on the couch. Jack is impartial to other animals in the home. All he needs is his favorite human by his side!

The Animal Rescue League is proud to announce a new partnership with the Canine Country Club in West Des Moines! ARL Club WDM will provide a temporary home for up to 30 adoptable dogs looking for their forever home. You can volunteer at the ARL to help these pups on their way to adoption. Not a dog person? No worries. The ARL has a variety of programs, letting you spend time with adoptable pets ranging from cats and gerbils to horses and chickens.

If you're unable to volunteer, consider donating pet food and supplies to the ARL, helping support their Pet Food Pantry. Households can use the pantry twice a month. The pantry gives enough food for up to 3 dogs and 3 cats. It's open every 2nd & 4th Wednesday at ARL Main from 9-11am and 4-6pm.
