There are many pets at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa still looking for their forever homes. Previous Iowa Live animal guests Captain, Ricky, and Ruby are waiting for their perfect match
If you were in a small, noisy apartment with people constantly tapping on the windows, wouldn't you be stressed? So are many of the pets up for adoption at the ARL. That's where the foster program comes in. Fosters offer adoptable pets a break from the shelter, providing a calm atmosphere where they can prosper. With puppy and kitten season underway, the ARL has an increased need for foster families. Click here for more information about the ARL's many foster programs.
The ARL is bracing for an influx of young kittens. Luckily, they have a new top-line kitten nursery to provide 24-hour care for some of their smallest residents. Attend the Kitten Nursery Grand Opening at ARL Main on June 23rd from 11am-1pm. Visitors can tour the nursery, play with kittens, enjoy opportunities to win prizes, and more!
